About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing, programming, and rolling out the upgrade, managing stakeholder relationships, and ensuring regulatory compliance. They will lead contract negotiations, value engineering, and buildability analysis while delivering monthly project reports, delivery plans, and cost updates. Additionally, they will establish detailed programmes, milestones, risk registers, and oversee RFP preparation, scope writing, and tendering processes. • Lead planning, organization, programming, and rollout of a major heritage upgrade project. • Manage complex stakeholder relationships and ensure regulatory compliance. • Conduct contract negotiations, value engineering, and buildability analysis. • Deliver monthly project deliverables: delivery plans, status reports, and cost reports. • Establish detailed project programmes, clear milestones, and risk registers. • Oversee RFP preparation, scope writing, and tendering processes.

What You Bring
The company is seeking experienced Senior Project Managers to lead a highly significant construction project within Australia's premier academic sector. This landmark initiative involves extensive refurbishment of a heritage‑significant building and demands careful navigation of strict conservation regulations. Applicants must hold a degree in Project or Construction Management (or equivalent experience) with at least ten years of relevant experience, or a combination totaling twelve years. A minimum of seven years in design, construction, or project management is required, along with proven heritage project experience and knowledge of ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 9001 compliance. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SharePoint, MS Project, and cost‑reporting systems is essential. Ideal candidates have strong interpersonal and communication skills, exceptional attention to detail, and a customer‑focused mindset. They thrive under pressure, can multitask and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines, and are capable of working autonomously with minimal supervision. • Minimum 10 years relevant experience (or 12 years combined) with at least 7 years in design, construction, or project management. • Proven experience delivering heritage construction projects under strict conservation regulations. • Proficient in MS Office, SharePoint, MS Project, and cost‑reporting systems; knowledgeable about ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 9001. • On‑site presence at least three days per week in Sydney, NSW.
