About the Role
The position requires developing detailed 2D drawings and 3D BIM models for highway projects using AutoCAD, MicroStation, and BIM platforms, preparing cross‑sections, profiles, plans, and construction‑ready drawings, and ensuring all deliverables comply with Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) and DEWA guidelines. You will also maintain drawing documentation, version control, and support clash detection and model coordination across disciplines. • Coordinate with engineers, designers, and project managers to capture design intent. • Prepare cross‑sections, profiles, plans, and construction‑ready drawings. • Maintain drawing documentation, version control, and adherence to CAD/BIM standards. • Conduct clash detection and model coordination with other disciplines using Navisworks or similar tools. • Participate in internal design reviews and provide technical input on drafting and modeling issues. • Develop and improve BIM/CAD workflows, templates, and quality procedures. • Ensure all deliverables comply with Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) and DEWA guidelines.

What You Bring
A minimum of ten years of experience as a BIM/CAD drafter on highway engineering projects is required, with strong proficiency in AutoCAD and MicroStation and a solid understanding of drafting principles and technical drawing standards. Experience with large‑scale utility networks and the ability to interpret engineering sketches into accurate drawings are also essential. Desired competencies include working knowledge of BIM tools, experience with clash detection using Navisworks or comparable software, and familiarity with multidisciplinary coordination for utilities, bridges, and infrastructure. Knowledge of digital project delivery workflows and ISO standards is a plus. • Bring at least 10 years of BIM/CAD drafting experience in highway engineering projects. • Demonstrate strong proficiency in AutoCAD and MicroStation and solid understanding of drafting principles. • Experience with large‑scale utility networks (stormwater, sewer, irrigation, electrical) and ability to interpret engineering sketches.
