What You Bring
AECOM is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern for its Waterloo, IA location, with the position expected to begin in May 2026. The internship is designed to provide hands‑on experience that complements academic learning and to ease the transition from student to professional. Candidates must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Construction Management and have completed at least one year of study, or be recent graduates planning to continue with a master’s degree. A valid U.S. driver’s license and the ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Records review are required. Preferred qualifications include experience with Civil 3D, Microsoft Office, and familiarity with Iowa DOT or SUDAS systems. Relocation assistance is not provided, and the role offers an hourly compensation range of $20 to $25. • Complete first‑year civil, industrial, or construction management coursework (or recent graduate with intent to pursue a master’s degree). • Hold a valid U.S. driver’s license and pass a motor vehicle records check. • Utilize Civil 3D, Microsoft Office, and optionally Iowa DOT or SUDAS tools.
