About the Role

Our Associates are responsible not only for service development and delivery, but also for providing leadership to our growing team of project and programme managers and for participating in client and business development. They act as senior project leads, overseeing complex commissions and ensuring successful outcomes. In this role you will manage the delivery of health, life‑science and higher‑education projects, define delivery structures and resources, and mitigate risks in line with recognised standards. You will lead and motivate delivery teams, support programme governance, produce performance reports, manage financial performance and act as the key client contact. Additionally you will mentor junior consultants, build a pipeline of future work and support bid proposals. • Deliver health, life science, or higher‑education projects and programmes of varying size and complexity. • Define, plan and implement delivery structures, phasing and resource models to achieve business case outcomes. • Identify, mitigate and manage risks, issues and dependencies in line with industry standards and governance frameworks. • Lead, motivate and coordinate delivery teams, ensuring clear roles, responsibilities and outcomes. • Produce regular performance reports to inform senior‑level decision‑making. • Manage financial performance against budget and revenue targets. • Act as primary client liaison for assigned commissions. • Mentor junior consultants and develop a high‑performance specialist team. • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, supporting bid proposals and tenders.

What You Bring

We are looking for a senior project manager with experience in complex construction‑consultancy, health or life‑science environments, comfortable acting as the accountable project lead. You should be familiar with NEC 3/4 procurement methods, industry best‑practice frameworks such as the NHS Capital Investment Manual or RIBA Plan of Work, and have strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills. A relevant degree, chartered institute membership and recognised project‑management qualifications are essential, together with an aptitude for business development and mentoring. • Demonstrated senior project‑manager experience in construction consultancy, health or life‑science sectors. • Experience with NEC3/4 contracts and industry best‑practice frameworks (e.g., NHS Capital Investment Manual, RIBA Plan of Work). • Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and presentation skills. • Relevant degree and chartered membership (RICS, CIBSE, CIOB, APM, MICE) plus project‑management qualifications (APM PMQ, MSP, NEC PM). • Ability to contribute to business development and mentor others.
