Job Highlights
About the Role
The Project Manager delivers projects across capital water infrastructure, including valves, hydrants, water pump stations, network renewals, and water main replacements for the Urban Utilities Program in central Brisbane. In addition to managing the delivery phase of the program’s renewals projects, you will collaborate with design, scheduling, cost, commissioning, and maintenance teams to ensure smooth transitions and project success. • Manage, coordinate and deliver a complex range of projects varying in size and scope. • Foster a culture of innovation, mentor team members, and uphold the Downer Standard and Zero Harm. • Support budget management and collaborate with the Senior Project Manager to optimise cost, improve processes, and ensure accurate reporting and forecasting. • Assist procurement processes, including implementing the Procurement Management Plan and managing subcontractor and supplier engagement. • Build strong relationships with design teams, clients, and internal stakeholders to enhance project delivery and partnership.

What You Bring
• Engineering qualification with substantial experience managing civil projects on capital infrastructure. • Project Management certification and RPEQ, or willingness to obtain. • Proven ability to work in a dynamic, service‑orientated contracting environment. • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. • Developed analytical, planning, prioritisation, financial planning, and budgeting skills.
