About the Role
The position focuses on supporting Rolls‑Royce‑managed engine shop visits, ensuring planned visits are executed through the global network, meeting customer turn‑time commitments while controlling cost, quality and safety. The engineer will work across the entire MRO shop‑visit value stream, from induction to engine return to the customer. • Support technical review meetings with engine, module, and test bases. • Convert workscope into customer request forms for off‑wing bases. • Oversee engine shop execution to meet quality, cost, and delivery targets. • Consolidate DAT network data and liaise with support functions and customers to prevent Aircraft on Ground (AOG) situations. • Identify and analyze engineering and commercial trends. • Provide quality assurance support to shop and Rolls‑Royce customer teams. • Participate in engineering investigations as needed. • Enable planning activities, including Turn‑Time improvement governance. • Ensure operational compliance with business plans and resolve policy deviations. • Contribute across planning, logistics, risk management, supply chain, load capacity, cost control, and relationship management.

What You Bring
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Overhaul Business Engineer to support the global rollout of the Disassembly, Assembly and Test (DAT) programme within the Off‑Wing Team of Aftermarket Operations. DAT will be critical to meeting rising MRO service demand and will mature as more bases adopt the process. The role offers exposure to operational, technical, commercial, planning, supplier and relationship management. Successful candidates are driven, structured, process‑focused and agile enough to handle the variety of tasks. The role involves collaboration with multi‑skilled teams and interaction with planning, logistics, risk, supply chain and customer/supplier relations. • Experience in a Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) environment. • Background across Operations, Manufacturing, Engineering, or Customer teams. • Strong understanding of engine components, systems, and functionality. • High self‑motivation, flexibility, initiative, action orientation, and good IT skills. • Strong problem‑solving ability with data‑driven solution proposals. • Fluency in English.
