About the Role

The role supports AAON’s quality and continuous-improvement culture by implementing measures that enhance production methods, equipment performance, product quality, and efficiency, while ensuring adherence to the AAON Quality Management System. Collaboration with peers and other departments is essential to organize work areas, improve throughput, and update documentation and procedures that affect product quality. • Coordinate and deliver onboarding for new production employees. • Develop training plans and lead hands‑on training across work stations. • Conduct skill assessments and provide feedback to supervisors. • Facilitate classroom, small‑group, and on‑the‑job training for all team members. • Train on tool safety, PPE use, assembly best practices, and documentation procedures. • Perform audits of assembly processes and ensure compliance with quality standards. • Coach QTLs and Production Leaders in Lean, 6S, and continuous‑improvement methods. • Recruit and develop potential leadership candidates for QTL and Production Lead roles. • Track and report completion of New Hire and QTL/Production Lead training. • Maintain adherence to AAON Quality Management System and improve production metrics.

What You Bring

AAON seeks a Production Trainer to develop and train new employees during onboarding, using classroom and on-the-job instruction, guided by the company’s learning methodology and positive leadership practices. Candidates must hold a high-school diploma or equivalent, have completed Certified QTL classes, and bring 3-5 years of production training experience, including classroom instruction and proficiency with computer applications such as MS Office. The position requires strong communication, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities, as well as the capacity to manage both classroom and hands-on training, collaborate effectively, and maintain attention to detail. Physical demands include standing, sitting, walking in an industrial setting, and lifting up to 50 lb. The work environment features humidity, noise, dust, temperature extremes, and forklift traffic. • High school diploma or equivalent plus required Certified QTL classes. • 3‑5 years of production training experience, including classroom instruction. • Proficient keyboarding and computer skills; MS Office knowledge a plus. • Working knowledge of manufacturing procedures, best practices, or related management experience. • Strong verbal and written communication, problem‑solving, and attention‑to‑detail skills. • Ability to stand, sit, walk in an industrial environment and lift up to 50 lb.
