About the Role

The position focuses on preparing geotechnical reports, managing construction materials testing projects, and delivering technical solutions to clients. You will lead proposal development, budget oversight, and invoicing while ensuring project deadlines are met. Additional duties include supervising field operations, conducting geologic research, and mentoring junior staff. • Prepare geotechnical reports, perform analysis, and provide recommendations while meeting project deadlines. • Manage construction materials testing (CMT) projects, review daily reports, resolve issues, and train field staff. • Develop geotechnical and CMT proposals, control project budgets, and generate change orders and invoices. • Host or attend client project meetings to follow up on reports and deliver technical solutions. • Prepare drilling packages and secure utility clearances. • Conduct research on local geologic history. • Supervise drilling and test pit crews, addressing rig access challenges. • Classify soil samples and coordinate laboratory testing assignments. • Mentor Staff Project Managers, Assistant Staff Project Managers, and technicians in their professional development.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil, geological engineering, or a related discipline and possess at least two years of relevant experience. Professional licensure such as a P.E. or P.G. is preferred, and a state license is required for the title used. A valid driver’s license is also necessary for company travel. • Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, Geology, or a related field. • Possess at least two years of relevant experience. • Professional Engineer (P.E.) or Professional Geologist (P.G.) designation preferred. • Maintain a required professional license for the state(s) where work is performed; otherwise, use the title “Manager.” • Hold a valid driver’s license for company driving duties.
