About the Role
Xcel Energy is seeking a Standard Operations Position leader to supervise a high‑performing, safety‑focused operations team across multiple functions, facilities, or commodities. The role drives efficient and cost‑effective use of resources through consistent application of policies and procedures, while ensuring safe, reliable, and compliant operations that meet customer expectations. Key responsibilities include providing visible safety leadership and fostering a strong safety culture, evaluating team performance against efficiency, reliability, and quality metrics, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives. The leader also oversees crew productivity, resource forecasting, talent recruitment and development, labor‑relations representation, and the maintenance of strong internal and external relationships to support operational goals. • Lead visible safety initiatives and sustain a strong safety culture. • Drive real‑time safety accountability through meetings, briefs, audits, and investigations. • Assess team performance using efficiency, reliability, and quality metrics and implement corrective actions. • Identify and execute continuous improvement and process‑adoption opportunities. • Provide direct leadership for crew productivity, resource planning, and barrier removal. • Recruit, train, coach, and engage talent while managing performance and labor relations. • Build and maintain effective internal and external stakeholder relationships. • Oversee compliance with Xcel Energy policies, labor agreements, and regulatory standards.

What You Bring
Candidates must have five or more years of experience in design, construction, operations, engineering, or maintenance of utility systems, with demonstrated technical expertise, knowledge of asset management tools, and a proven track record of driving performance and process adherence. Preferred qualifications include SAP experience, planning and scheduling background, maintenance management, an associate or technical degree, three years of supervisory experience, and familiarity with utility finance and bargaining‑unit environments. • Minimum 5 years experience in utility design, construction, operations, engineering, or maintenance. • Preferred experience with SAP, planning/scheduling, maintenance management, and supervisory roles.

Benefits
The position offers a base salary ranging from $112,200 to $159,400 annually and includes a comprehensive benefits package such as an annual incentive program, health, dental, vision, life insurance, retirement plans, PTO, parental leave, tuition reimbursement, and various employee wellness and transportation reimbursements.
