About the Role
The Superintendent Mechanical‑Electrical leads, directs, and coordinates subcontractors and Turner trade labor for mechanical and electrical systems on assigned projects. This role is responsible for safety, schedule delivery, quality of work, and budget adherence, and provides supervisory oversight for Assistant Superintendents, Field Engineers, interns, and trade labor. The position reports to the Project Superintendent, Project Manager, or MEP Manager. • Manage scheduling, delivery, logistics, quality control, and staffing for mechanical/electrical trades. • Coordinate assigned trades and resolve local issues related to procedures, design clarifications, labor, equipment, and schedule. • Oversee site safety program and ensure subcontractor compliance with Turner standards and applicable safety codes. • Supervise and develop Assistant Superintendents, Field Engineers, and interns, including performance appraisals. • Enforce strict adherence to ethics and compliance requirements. • Create work schedules, determine sequencing, and develop recovery strategies to maintain project timeline and budget. • Communicate with owners and architects/engineers to address and resolve field issues. • Manage billing processes, monthly work estimates, payrolls, material invoices, and subcontractor payment applications. • Ensure installations conform to approved contract documents and specifications. • Collaborate with engineers on coordination of mechanical/electrical systems, equipment, and piping layouts, securing architect and engineer approvals. • Lead inspections, startup, commissioning, turnover, training, and punch‑list activities for system acceptance. • Direct and monitor subcontractors and suppliers to guarantee conformance with plans, specifications, and codes. • Review project changes in partnership with the Project Engineer. • Maintain detailed daily records of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing trade progress. • Participate in preconstruction activities such as constructability reviews and logistics planning. • Utilize building information modeling (BIM) for coordination of mechanical and electrical systems.

What You Bring
The role requires physical abilities such as climbing stairs and ladders, using construction hoists, and occasionally lifting up to 75 pounds. Employees work on active construction sites and are exposed to moving mechanical parts, heights, fumes, weather, and electrical hazards, with noise ranging from moderate to very loud. Vision requirements include close, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment. • Hold a bachelor’s degree or ≥4 years engineering/architectural experience plus ≥6 years mechanical/electrical/plumbing construction experience (or equivalent). • Possess comprehensive knowledge of building construction, scheduling, cost control, contracts, and Mechanical/Electrical systems. • Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office. • Ability to read, interpret, and apply contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project schedules. • Exhibit proven leadership and interpersonal abilities.
