Sr Project Manager

About the Role

In this role you will oversee the Project Management team, directing in‑house crews and subcontractors, and lead end‑to‑end delivery of fiber engineering programs. You will manage and mentor domestic and offshore engineers, act as the primary customer interface, and ensure projects stay on schedule, within budget and meet quality standards. Coordination with construction, permitting and operations, as well as leading weekly meetings and handling billing, are also key parts of the position. • Lead end‑to‑end delivery of fiber engineering projects from concept through implementation. • Manage and mentor domestic and offshore engineering teams, ensuring collaboration and technical excellence. • Serve as primary customer interface, maintaining relationships, leading project reviews and providing technical guidance. • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, budgets and schedules, tracking milestones and deliverables. • Oversee quality assurance for design packages and engineering documentation. • Coordinate with construction, permitting and operations to ensure design accuracy and constructability. • Lead weekly client and project team meetings and assign resources to tasks. • Submit completed projects for billing and collaborate on fielding, design and QC processes. • Evaluate team performance, create improvement plans and develop productivity monitoring tools and reports.

What You Bring

The ideal candidate has solid knowledge of aerial and underground telecommunications, including fiber architectures such as FTTH, FTTx, Metro, Rural, Long Haul and Backbone, and preferably outside‑plant construction experience. A high school diploma or equivalent, advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office and industry tools (e.g., QGIS, AutoCAD), schedule management experience, and strong written and verbal communication are required. • Solid knowledge of aerial and underground telecommunications, including FTTH, FTTx, Metro, Rural, Long Haul and Backbone architectures. • Experience with outside‑plant construction preferred. • Proven track record of high‑quality workmanship and problem‑solving skills. • High school diploma or equivalent; advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office and tools such as QGIS, AutoCAD, Smallworld or ESRI. • Intermediate schedule management experience and ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment. • Strong written and verbal communication, ability to read workprints and convey progress and recommendations to senior leadership.
