About the Role
The position provides engineering management and oversight of auxiliary and main steam turbine design for nuclear power uprate projects. Responsibilities include managing specifications, modifications, upgrades, and assessments of various turbine types, ensuring turbine performance aligns with overall plant operation, and applying deep technical expertise to solve nuclear plant engineering challenges. • Provide in-depth technical expertise for turbine and power plant engineering analysis and programs. • Serve as turbine subject‑matter expert and consultant on equipment procurement, reliability, and system issues. • Lead short‑term and long‑term engineering projects impacting site operations. • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of design work, adhering to codes and configuration management. • Conduct independent research, reviews, studies, and analyses supporting technical projects. • Recommend equipment, concepts, and techniques to improve performance, reduce costs, and meet code changes. • Communicate with OEMs, consultants, and project teams to ensure successful implementation. • Perform emergency response, department duty coverage, and support outage activities as required.

What You Bring
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related science, possess a professional engineer or SRO license, and have at least five years of engineering experience, including one year in a nuclear power plant. Preferred qualifications include supervisory experience, professional engineer registration, an advanced technical degree, five years of steam turbine engineering experience, and expertise in power‑plant thermal performance assessment. • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related science; PE or SRO license accepted. • Minimum five years of engineering experience with at least one year in a nuclear power plant. • Ability to meet access and medical requirements for the position. • Preferred: supervisory or managerial experience. • Preferred: professional engineer registration and advanced technical degree or coursework. • Preferred: five years of steam turbine engineering experience. • Preferred: experience with power plant thermal performance assessment.
