About the Role

The role involves end‑to‑end R&D testing of bay‑level solutions and support of software tools, as well as enhancing verification and validation processes with automation paradigms. Responsibilities include designing adaptive test cases, executing software and domain tests, reporting defect logs, and ensuring consistent, maintainable integration of modular subsystems. The position also requires close collaboration with product stakeholders and adherence to Hitachi Energy’s core values of safety and integrity. • Perform verification and validation of substation automation products. • Design and execute functional and black‑box test cases for system and product requirements. • Log, report, and track test defects throughout the testing lifecycle. • Collaborate with product stakeholders, including managers, analysts, and developers. • Ensure modular, maintainable integration of software subsystems per product specifications. • Apply Hitachi Energy’s safety and integrity values in daily work.

What You Bring

Candidates should hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering and possess 3‑8 years of practical experience in sub‑station automation. Technical expertise in protection and communication protocols, computer networks and OSI layers is essential, along with proficiency in Python, Java or C#. Familiarity with the software development lifecycle, particularly Agile, and strong written and spoken English communication skills are also required. • Hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering with 3–8 years of substation automation experience. • Knowledge of protection, communication protocols, and computer networking (OSI layers). • Proficient in Python, Java or C# and familiar with Agile software development. • Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
