About the Role
The Plant Maintenance Manager will lead the maintenance operations at WM’s newest Material Recovery Facility in Roblin, Ontario, overseeing equipment reliability and staff performance. This senior position reports to corporate leadership and is responsible for ensuring safe, efficient operation of the plant’s mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems. • Lead maintenance technicians, overseeing scheduling, training, and performance. • Create and execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs. • Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic equipment. • Ensure equipment is restored to service safely and promptly. • Coordinate specialized repairs and upgrades with vendors and contractors. • Maintain CMMS data, parts inventory, and maintenance records. • Support startup and commissioning of new equipment. • Train team members to build a culture of accountability, safety, and high performance. • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards. • Plan, budget, staff, and implement all maintenance initiatives and programs. • Promote a safe work environment in accordance with corporate and OHSA requirements. • Help shape a safety‑first, high‑performance maintenance culture.

What You Bring
• Hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (High School/GED + 4 years). • Possess 7+ years of maintenance experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory role. • Experience in industrial or manufacturing settings; waste/recycling experience a plus. • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, especially conveyors, screens, and optical sorters. • Red Seal, Millwright, or similar trade certification preferred.

Benefits
The position offers a base salary between $100,000 and $110,000, with eligibility for performance bonuses.
