About the Role

The primary responsibility of this role is to analyze commercial and technical data of electronic components, PCB gerbers, and assemblies to generate and lead various cost‑out, VAVE, resiliency, and NPI projects. The role involves developing and executing category‑wise strategies in close collaboration with global procurement, product development teams, and suppliers. The incumbent will also lead engineering data improvement for electronics components and assemblies manufactured at EMS and contribute to data library development. The candidate will help reduce new product development times by recommending cost‑effective and technically compatible products from strategic suppliers. Leveraging data analytics and ideation principles, the individual will create, lead, and execute new cost‑out and VAVE opportunities. Knowledge of electrical and electronic product development requirements is essential. • Analyze spend data to identify cost‑out opportunities for electronics components and assemblies. • Lead cost‑out and VAVE projects, handling supplier discussions and negotiations. • Develop enterprise‑wide cost‑out and resiliency strategies with global procurement, engineering, and supply chain partners. • Conduct product teardown, design and competitive benchmarking, function analysis, and technical evaluations. • Apply engineering tools and simulations to select cost‑effective, technically compatible components. • Collaborate with manufacturing, product teams, and suppliers to resolve DFM, DFA, and DFT issues. • Lead global projects and coordinate cross‑functional stakeholders across regions. • Mentor, organize, and champion projects using data sources and cross‑functional teams. • Ensure compliance with global design standards (IEC, UL, CSA, NEMA) and perform required testing (short‑circuit, temperature rise, arc). • Drive LEAN initiatives and utilize DFSS for early risk identification and robust product development.

Key Responsibilities

  • cost analysis
  • vave projects
  • component simulation
  • dfm resolution
  • lean initiatives
  • data analytics

What You Bring
