About the Role
The Security Officer role is responsible for maintaining overall property security, preventing theft, vandalism, and damage, and ensuring safety for residents and visitors. Responsibilities include patrolling, monitoring entry points, managing visitor logs, handling deliveries, providing guest information, responding to emergencies, and enforcing parking regulations. The officer must remain vigilant and alert to potential risks at all times. • Respond to alarms and emergency situations. • Conduct regular patrols to detect irregularities and inspect security and fire‑control equipment. • Greet and assist guests and tenants, providing site information and directions. • Guard and monitor premises to prevent theft, property damage, violence, and safety violations. • Perform fire‑prevention, safety, maintenance tasks, and enforce parking/traffic regulations. • Deliver professional customer service. • Work graveyard shifts, on‑call weekends, and occasional overtime.

What You Bring
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, 0‑3 years of related experience, a valid Guard Card, and a driver’s license. Required knowledge includes state and local safety regulations, conflict‑resolution techniques, and professional customer service, along with strong time‑management and communication skills. The role involves a non‑typical office environment with frequent standing, walking, and both indoor and outdoor duties, including graveyard shifts and on‑call overtime. Physical demands include standing, reaching above shoulder height, and using hands for data entry and documentation. • Apply knowledge of state and local safety requirements. • Utilize proficient conflict‑resolution techniques. • Interpret and follow verbal and written instructions accurately. • Manage time effectively and prioritize critical tasks. • Hold a valid Guard Card and driver’s license.

Benefits
Compensation is $19 per hour, with direct experience given strong consideration. This is a full‑time position located at 43998 Lago Vista Blvd., Indio, CA 92203.
