About the Role

• Lead engineering function on projects, coordinating with line manager, contractors and internal teams. • Manage dimensional control, converting global grids to local grids. • Oversee survey equipment usage and ensure completion of as‑built surveys for key elements. • Maintain daily project diary and monitor tolerances for structural elements. • Develop and review Inspection & Test Plans, method statements and risk assessments for major packages (concrete, drainage, steelwork, brickwork). • Control non‑conformance process, creating and closing NCRs while tracking defect costs. • Issue “Permits to break ground” and manage the project RFI process. • Ensure safety when working around underground services and implement risk control procedures. • Utilize Microsoft Office and digital platforms such as A‑Site and Viewpoint for Projects. • Apply design management experience across piling, geotechnical, sub‑structures and waterproofing trades.

What You Bring

The role requires advanced expertise in dimensional control, survey management and quality assurance across major construction packages. The Senior Engineer is responsible for overseeing survey equipment, delivering as‑built surveys, maintaining daily diaries, and managing tolerances for structural elements. Additionally, the engineer creates inspection and test plans, method statements, risk assessments, and controls non‑conformance and permitting processes. Candidates must demonstrate strong safety awareness for underground services, excellent verbal and written communication, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and digital information systems such as A‑Site and Viewpoint. Significant design‑management experience across piling, geotechnical, sub‑structures and waterproofing is required, alongside a B.Eng in Civil Engineering and specialised training in temporary works, lifting operations, CPCS lifting, scaffold inspection and planning software. • Hold B.Eng in Civil Engineering and complete training in Temporary Works Coordination, Lifting Operations, CPCS Lifting, Appointed Persons, Scaffold inspection and planning software.
