About the Role

The Production Manager oversees day‑to‑day activities to meet daily, monthly, quarterly and yearly expectations in a LEAN manufacturing operation. Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager and based in Simi Valley, CA, the role ensures resources, systems, product expertise and processes are in place to deliver a world‑class customer experience and drive long‑term improvements toward customer loyalty. Core accountabilities include coordinating and supervising manufacturing activities, applying lean tools to reduce variation, standardize work, improve quality and eliminate waste, and using VOC data for process improvement and root‑cause problem solving across functions. The manager ensures proper product delivery, schedules resources based on capacity, trains and develops staff, and deploys performance objectives through daily management and standard work. Additional duties involve maintaining SQDC objectives, leading RBS lean initiatives, implementing lean work cells, reviewing methods and tooling for precision‑machined parts with engineering support, managing e‑time schedules, coaching team leaders, fostering a safety‑focused climate, conducting Tiered Gemba walks, and driving corrective actions based on metric gaps. • Coordinate and supervise manufacturing operations using lean tools to reduce variation, standardize work, improve quality, and eliminate waste. • Analyze VOC data and apply root‑cause problem‑solving methods to improve processes across functions. • Ensure on‑time product delivery, manage resource scheduling based on capacity, and handle high‑exposure item escalations. • Train, develop, and coach production staff; deploy performance objectives through daily management and standard work. • Maintain SQDC (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost) metrics, lead lean (RBS) initiatives, and conduct Tiered Gemba walks. • Review and improve precision‑machined part methods and tooling in collaboration with manufacturing engineering. • Manage e‑time approvals, monitor employee performance, and foster a safety‑focused, values‑driven work environment.

What You Bring

The successful candidate holds a bachelor’s degree (preferably in Business Management, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering) and at least five years of supervisory experience, with strong analytical, communication and leadership skills. Experience with AS9100, Microsoft Office, MRP systems, Kaizen events, 5S, OSHA regulations and familiarity with lathes/milling is preferred; a master’s in business is a plus. • Hold a bachelor's degree in Business Management, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering (MBA preferred) and at least 5 years of supervisory experience. • Demonstrated ability to analyze data, drive corrective actions, and lead Kaizen events using 5S and lean manufacturing concepts. • Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of AS9100, MRP systems, OSHA regulations, and basic machining equipment is a plus.
