About the Role
The Shipping Worker I prepares accurate daily shipping reports for Accounting, ensures freight costs are correctly retrieved from e‑shipping, and performs extensive data entry with a focus on accuracy. The role requires professional communication via telephone and email with both internal and external customers, and all duties must be performed on‑site at the facility. Additional duties include assisting at the front counter when needed, addressing customer needs, maintaining the SOP Handbook, and serving as an administrative assistant to the Parts, Warranty, and Shipping departments. • Generate daily shipping reports for Accounting and verify freight costs via e‑shipping. • Perform high‑volume data entry with strict accuracy standards. • Communicate professionally with internal and external customers by phone and email. • Sort, file, and process shipping documents promptly, ensuring compliance with SOPs. • Assist at the front counter and act as Administrative Assistant for Parts, Warranty & Shipping. • Maintain the SOP Handbook and support dock operations as needed.

What You Bring

Basic computer skills for inventory tracking, strong communication, organizational abilities, and willingness to work in a physically demanding environment are required. The position demands the ability to lift and move objects up to 50 lb, and to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods. Employees may be exposed to varying weather conditions, loud noises, dust, chemical fumes, sharp metal objects, and heavy forklift traffic. • Require basic computer skills, strong organization, and attention to detail. • Ability to lift up to 50 lb, stand, walk, bend for long periods, and work in varying weather and noisy environments. • Forklift, man‑lift, and tractor certifications may be required.
