About the Role
Key duties include maintaining facility infrastructure, conducting regular site inspections and monitoring alarms, performing preventative and corrective maintenance on UPS, generators, BMS, chillers, and life‑safety systems, and executing planned maintenance activities. You will also manage documentation such as site logs, MOPs, and scripts, respond to incidents, handle work requests and circuit installations, and contribute to infrastructure and works projects. • Ensure seamless operation of facility infrastructure through diligent maintenance. • Conduct regular site inspections and monitor building and data‑centre alarms. • Perform hands‑on preventative maintenance on UPS, generators, BMS, chillers, and life‑safety systems; manage permit‑to‑work system. • Execute repairs and corrective maintenance on critical equipment to maintain uninterrupted service. • Plan and carry out scheduled maintenance activities to uphold infrastructure reliability. • Maintain comprehensive site logs, MOPs, and scripts for accurate documentation. • Assist senior staff in incident response and independently handle basic incidents. • Complete work requests and circuit installations efficiently. • Participate in infrastructure and works projects to enhance site functionality.

What You Bring
We are seeking experienced shift engineers to support our customers and drive the business forward. As a shift engineer you will ensure smooth operation of systems and equipment, leveraging proactive, adaptable, and strong problem‑solving abilities. The role is ideal for engineers eager to make a significant impact. The ideal candidate holds an ONC/BTEC/NVQ or equivalent qualification in electrical or mechanical engineering, has experience in data‑centre or other critical environments, and possesses in‑depth knowledge of critical infrastructure, with HV switching preferred. Personal attributes include being self‑motivated, flexible, and capable of working independently or as part of a team. • Hold ONC/BTEC/NVQ or equivalent qualification in electrical/mechanical engineering. • Bring prior data‑centre or critical‑environment experience; HV switching experience preferred. • Demonstrate self‑motivation, flexibility, and ability to work independently or within a team.
