About the Role
The Helper supports construction activities at a power plant by performing a variety of manual tasks. Responsibilities include moving and retrieving equipment, digging, and providing fire‑safety assistance under the direction of a supervisor or journeyman. The role requires frequent use of hand and power tools, rigging and hoisting equipment, climbing onto structures or scaffolding, and conducting preventative maintenance such as lubrication and minor repairs. The Helper must also operate fire extinguishers, follow supervisor instructions, and work collaboratively with coworkers. • Meet all physical demands, including standing, walking, bending, squatting, and lifting up to 50 lb. • Use industrial hand tools, power tools, rigging and hoisting devices (e.g., chokers, chain falls, come‑alongs). • Move, dig, retrieve equipment and assist with fire safety, including operating fire extinguishers. • Climb onto structures, scaffolding, ladders, and work at heights or on platforms. • Perform preventative maintenance such as lubrication and repairing worn parts. • Follow directions from supervisors or journeymen and work effectively as a team player.

What You Bring
Candidates must meet demanding physical requirements, including standing, walking, bending, squatting, lifting up to 50 lb, and working at heights or in adverse weather for up to 12 hours per day while wearing required PPE. Required qualifications include basic mechanical knowledge, reliable transportation, availability to work seven days as needed, and a commitment to safety and company values.
