About the Role

Physical demands include lifting, pushing, or pulling weights of 20‑60 lb, operating forklifts and cranes, and occasional climbing or balancing tasks. You will be part of the Power Systems Business Unit, delivering world‑class gas, diesel, and hybrid power solutions for marine and infrastructure sectors through digitalization and electrification. Explore this opportunity, track your application, and discover a rewarding career where your talent and passion matter. • Assemble and disassemble MTU and other engines, systems, and components according to specifications. • Inspect and evaluate components for defects, recommending acceptance or rejection. • Operate and test products to verify functionality and conformance to specifications. • Analyze test results to diagnose equipment condition and determine next steps. • Position and align components for assembly using manual methods or hoists. • Create and implement new processes, fixtures, and tooling as needed. • Rework, repair, or replace damaged parts using machines, power tools, and hand tools. • Read and interpret disassembly/assembly blueprints and specification manuals to plan operations. • Verify and document part conformance using calipers, gauges, micrometers, and other measuring instruments. • Safely operate forklifts, overhead and jib cranes to maneuver parts or equipment. • Execute SAP transactions for tracking and process compliance. • Support engineering and quality by submitting deviation requests for out‑of‑scope repairs. • Operate mechanical and CNC machinery such as mills, lathes, rotary surface grinders, balancing machines, and valve grinders. • Perform special projects and provide cross‑functional support as required. • Maintain clean, orderly work areas and adhere to safety regulations and the Rolls‑Royce Code of Conduct.

What You Bring
• Hold a High School Diploma/GED and at least two years of field service, mechanical or electrical troubleshooting experience. • Demonstrate skilled use of mechanical/electrical hand tools and measurement/testing equipment. • Possess knowledge of electronics, physics, hydraulics, pneumatics, and related technical terminology. • Exhibit strong problem‑solving, communication, and interpersonal skills. • Be able to lift, push, or pull 20‑60 lb and operate forklift trucks and rigging up to 5 tons. • Use PC and MS Office Suite; experience with MTU engines and large engine service industry preferred.
