About the Role
• Monitor civil and infrastructure works to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and safety standards. • Conduct routine and hold‑point inspections of excavation, backfilling, compaction, pavement, concrete, structural, and utility activities. • Review and witness field and laboratory tests, verifying results meet specification requirements. • Verify adherence to approved Inspection Test Plans (ITPs), method statements, and checklists. • Prepare and maintain inspection requests, site inspection reports, daily records, and non‑conformance reports (NCRs). • Keep systematic records of work progress, inspections, tests, and site communications for audit purposes. • Assist Resident Engineer/Assistant Resident Engineer in preparing progress reports and technical inputs. • Review civil drawings, details, and schedules; ensure works match latest approved documents and resolve discrepancies. • Coordinate with other discipline inspectors to manage interface issues. • Monitor contractor’s quality control procedures and report deficiencies. • Support implementation of project quality plans and participate in corrective action inspections. • Promote safe working practices, report unsafe conditions, and liaise with HSE staff. • Provide factual site information and records during client, authority, or stakeholder site visits. • Ensure road and utility works comply with local authority requirements and standards.

What You Bring
Parsons is seeking a highly talented Civil Inspector to monitor day‑to‑day civil and infrastructure works on site, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and project quality and safety requirements. The role involves conducting routine and hold‑point inspections of activities such as excavation, backfilling, compaction, pavement layers, concrete and structural works, and utility installations, as well as reviewing field and laboratory test results. You will verify adherence to approved ITPs, maintain inspection reports, daily records, and non‑conformance reports, and support the Resident Engineer with progress and technical documentation. The successful candidate will have a Diploma in Civil Engineering and at least seven years of experience supervising infrastructure projects—including roads, bridges, highways, and utilities—preferably within a consultancy environment. Strong knowledge of site construction practices, the ability to read and interpret civil drawings and specifications, and familiarity with local authority standards are essential. Proficiency in preparing systematic records, inspection reports, and working effectively in a fast‑paced, multidisciplinary team is required. • Apply a minimum of seven years’ construction supervision experience on infrastructure projects, preferably in a consultancy role.
