About the Role

The specialist will manage the ADA interactive process from intake to resolution, serve as a subject‑matter expert on FMLA, ADA, company‑provided leaves, workers’ compensation, and all applicable state and local leave laws, and consult with HR partners, managers, employees, and internal Centers of Excellence. Responsibilities also include providing recommendations, influencing management decisions, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and company policies, maintaining accurate case documentation, identifying trends, recommending process improvements, and supporting compliance audits. • Manage the ADA interactive process from intake through documentation, medical review, and accommodation determination. • Act as subject‑matter expert on FMLA, ADA, company‑provided leaves, workers’ compensation, and state/local leave laws. • Consult with HR partners, managers, employees, and internal COEs to advise on leave eligibility, expectations, and return‑to‑work processes. • Provide recommendations and influence management decisions based on company policies and applicable laws. • Ensure all cases comply with federal, state, and company policies and maintain accurate case documentation and tracking. • Identify trends, recommend process improvements, and support compliance audits. • Assist in creating and refining company‑wide HR policies and collaborate on non‑HR policies. • Develop training materials, tools, templates, processes, and reference resources for the ER COE function. • Participate in project work supporting the ER COE, HR team, or other functions, including occasional travel for investigations and meetings. • Maintain solid organizational and project‑management capabilities.

The role relies on deep knowledge of the ADA, FMLA, and state and local leave requirements to ensure consistent and compliant application of company policies. Ideal candidates are passionate about guiding employees through important life moments, possess strong judgment, and thrive in a collaborative, evolving environment. Qualifications include 2‑4 years of experience in leave administration, ADA accommodations, disability management, or related HR/Employee Relations work, and a strong understanding of ADA, FMLA, and relevant state/local regulations. A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent HR experience is required, with PHR or SPHR designation preferred. Candidates must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication, the ability to influence leaders, strong diagnostic and analytical skills, and solid organizational and project‑management capabilities. • Possess 2‑4 years of experience in leave administration, ADA accommodations, disability management, or related HR/Employee Relations work. • Demonstrate strong understanding of ADA, FMLA, and relevant state/local leave regulations. • Hold a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent HR experience; PHR or SPHR designation preferred. • Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication, influencing ability, and strong counseling, diagnostic, and analytical skills.

Compensation for this role is competitive, ranging from $68,000 to $80,000, and is determined based on factors such as geographic location, experience, collective bargaining agreements, and market pay rates, with a guarantee of at least the minimum wage. • Benefit offerings include health, vision, dental insurance; flexible spending and health savings accounts; retirement plans; life and disability insurance; and paid/unpaid time off. • Salary range for the position is $68,000‑$80,000, based on location, experience, and other eligibility factors, with a minimum wage guarantee.
