About the Role
The Production Inspector supports the company's quality assurance program by performing inspections on manufacturing output. Working under general supervision, the inspector collaborates with production teams to uphold standards and address any non‑conformances. • Perform detailed first‑piece inspections on newly produced Burndy products and pilot‑run parts. • Conduct request‑for‑inspection, receiving, patrol, and final proof sampling activities. • Apply statistical sampling plans as directed. • Maintain quality control records, logs, reject forms, and capability reports. • Inspect in‑process parts from machining, assembly, plating, and other operations. • Use calipers, micrometers, fixed gauges, comparators, and other inspection tools to measure dimensions and angular differences. • Make dimensional decisions regarding tolerance deviations. • Perform visual inspections for burrs, surface finish, color, deformities, flash, and damage. • Read and interpret engineering prints and drawings accurately. • Apply process management knowledge and manufacturing method expertise. • Analyze, research, and prepare reports; present findings to managers, clients, and stakeholders.

What You Bring
Success in this role is supported by proficiency with MS Office, strong critical‑thinking abilities, and effective leadership and communication skills. Candidates should demonstrate process management knowledge, familiarity with manufacturing methods, and the ability to analyze, research, and report findings. Competence with electronic communication tools, basic computer functions, report writing, and presenting information to managers and customers is highly valued. • Demonstrate proficiency with MS Office and basic computer applications. • Exhibit critical thinking, leadership, and strong interpersonal communication.
