About the Role
The role involves maintaining and repairing equipment to ensure operational reliability, using prints, drawings, and verbal instructions while adhering to standard repair times and safety procedures. Documentation of work is completed in the fleet maintenance software system. • Perform minor repairs and apply arc, gas, aluminum welding, brazing, and soft soldering on various materials. • Repair compactors, containers, and carts, including flame cutting, bending, forming, beveling, and notching. • Conduct preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs of electrical and hydraulic systems. • Conduct safety checks on equipment and maintain compliance with OSHA standards. • Document repairs, parts usage, and labor times in fleet maintenance software. • Assist senior welders and handle service calls for compactor repair. • Work from prints, drawings, and verbal instructions within standard repair times. • Set up layouts, dimensions, and tolerances using standard hand tools and measuring devices. • Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow established safety procedures.
