About the Role

The Fitness Instructor/Receptionist will lead group fitness classes for participants of all fitness levels, covering modalities such as strength training, cardio, flexibility, and wellness. The ideal candidate is knowledgeable, energetic, and passionate about motivating individuals in a safe, inclusive environment. • Teach diverse classes such as Barre, cardio, strength training, yoga, Pilates, and flexibility, adapting to all fitness levels. • Design and modify challenging yet accessible class plans for beginners and advanced participants. • Monitor participants’ form and technique to prevent injury and optimize results. • Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming studio environment. • Cultivate an inclusive, community‑focused atmosphere for all attendees. • Stay current with fitness trends and certification requirements. • Assess client progress, provide advice, and promote additional fitness services. • Set up and maintain equipment properly. • Promote upcoming programs, workshops, and special events. • Lift equipment up to 50 lb and perform pushing/pulling tasks. • Stand, move, and lead classes for extended periods.

What You Bring

• Deliver clear, positive verbal cues to improve performance. • Hold a group‑fitness certification (e.g., ACE, NASM, AFAA) or equivalent. • Possess First Aid and CPR certification or be willing to obtain it. • Demonstrate experience teaching group fitness to all ability levels. • Know proper exercise techniques, safety protocols, and injury prevention. • Exhibit strong communication and interpersonal skills to motivate participants. • Adapt teaching style to diverse participant needs. • Work effectively both independently and as part of a team. • Have specialization or additional certifications in areas such as Pilates or strength training (preferred). • Be able to demonstrate exercises and movements.
