About the Role
The engineer will investigate and resolve quality issues impacting internal and external customers, conduct inspections, audits, and testing of prototype, supplier, and production parts, and use control charts and other quality tools to drive improvements. Additional duties include interpreting engineering drawings, performing non‑destructive testing, and developing or updating quality procedures and standards. • Investigate, resolve, and implement countermeasures for quality issues affecting internal or external customers. • Inspect, audit, and test prototype, supplier, and production parts for compliance with specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements. • Conduct non‑destructive testing of welds, fastened joints, and hydraulic systems. • Utilize control charts and other quality tools to analyze data, drive improvements, and develop or update quality procedures. • Interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and formulas to establish quality and reliability standards. • Apply basic quality tools such as cause‑and‑effect diagrams, Pareto charts, histograms, and run charts. • Perform measurement system analysis and select appropriate tools and gauges. • Develop and maintain technical documents, audit plans, and work standards. • Communicate effectively to discuss quality issues, resolve conflicts, and provide training.
