About the Role

The EI&C Designer 2 reports to the Electrical Director, works M‑F 8 am‑5 pm (40‑hour week) in a non‑exempt, day‑shift role without travel, and collaborates with engineers to create 3‑D electrical models and drawing packages using AutoCAD. Core duties include electrical 3‑D modeling, schematic creation, cable tray layout, block programming, area classification, grounding, heat‑trace, BOM and lighting calculations, as well as instrumentation and controls design such as panel layouts, I/O wiring, loop diagrams, safety plans, and emergency shutdown schematics. The position also prepares final construction drawings, updates them per engineer comments, and may assist with additional tasks as needed while working in a typical office environment with frequent distractions. • Create 3D electrical models and AutoCAD drawing packages, including schematics, cable trays, and lighting calculations. • Perform instrumentation and controls design tasks such as panel layout, I/O wiring diagrams, loop diagrams, and safety system plans. • Generate and update final construction drawings based on engineer feedback. • Develop electrical calculations, area classifications, grounding, heat‑trace, BOMs, and circuit schedules. • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure accurate and complete design deliverables.

What You Bring

Candidates need 2‑5 years of Autodesk‑based multidisciplinary experience, an associate degree or equivalent, strong communication, problem‑solving, self‑direction, and some leadership experience; the role does not involve supervising others. • Require 2–5 years of Autodesk product experience and an associate degree or equivalent. • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication, problem‑solving, and self‑direction skills. • Ability to lead small work groups or task forces on specific projects.
