About the Role

The Program Director designs and administers a comprehensive resident engagement and activity program for both Assisted Living and Memory Care residents. This role involves developing a well‑rounded community‑wide social schedule, creating resident histories, and coordinating events and partnerships. • Design and develop recreation and activity programs based on residents’ needs, interests, and capabilities. • Create resident histories and profiles with family input, using them to tailor activities. • Schedule and coordinate community-wide social programs, including educational, entertainment, special events, games, group, and spiritual services. • Produce and distribute a monthly social program calendar to staff and residents. • Collaborate with other departments and coordinate program logistics. • Establish partnerships with local organizations to enhance community programming. • Develop and deliver training and orientation for volunteers. • Operate the community vehicle for resident outings. • Create and maintain the monthly activity budget.

What You Bring

• 1–3 years experience or training in leading activities for the elderly. • High school diploma or higher education preferred. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Strong time‑management and organizational abilities. • Ability to make independent decisions as needed. • Willingness to work flexible hours. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and aptitude for learning new software. • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lb and perform standard caregiving tasks.
