About the Role

The Groundskeeper for the Multifamily Village of Rowlett is a member of the Maintenance staff who works directly with the Maintenance Supervisor and office personnel to deliver world‑class service to residents. This hands‑on professional ensures that all aspects of the property function correctly each day. Key duties include maintaining the overall landscape and exterior appearance by cleaning driveways, parking lots, curbs, dumpster areas, and exterior hallways, as well as caring for flowerbeds, plants, and grass. Additional responsibilities cover snow removal, routine pool cleaning, and providing friendly, professional customer service to address resident concerns. The Groundskeeper may also assist the maintenance team on other projects and must adhere to uniform, safety, and equipment protocols. • Maintain landscape, clean exterior areas, and perform snow and pool upkeep. • Provide courteous, professional service to residents and address maintenance requests. • Assist the maintenance team on additional projects as needed. • Follow uniform standards, safety procedures, and proper tool handling. • Travel between properties and work in various weather conditions. • Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lb and stand/walk for extended periods.

What You Bring

Competencies required are excellent oral and written communication skills, the ability to take direction in English or Spanish, and a professional, courteous demeanor. The role demands punctuality, adherence to company policies, and strict practice of safety procedures, including reading and understanding written information. Education requirements consist of a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent trade, technical, or vocational training. Physical demands include standing and walking for extended periods, ascending and descending stairs, ladders, or step stools, and traveling outside between buildings. The employee may need to remain stationary (sitting or standing) for about 85% of the time, operate office machinery, travel up to 10% of the time, and lift or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds. • Communicate effectively in English and Spanish; read and write clearly. • Be available to work evenings, weekends, or on-call for emergencies. • Meet education requirement of a high school diploma or equivalent.
