About the Role

• Advises and assists the project manager, program manager, and/or other project personnel in conforming to Parsons’ Environmental, Safety, Health, and Risk Program (ESHARP) management system and Parsons’ policies and procedures. • Audits the project or program and its worksites against corporate standards. • Inspects worksites to detect hazards and provides expertise to project or program personnel to eliminate/control the SH&E risks associated with exposure to the hazards. • Creates and submits written audit and inspection reports. • Implements Parsons’ occupational injury and incident reporting and management processes. • Initiates and conducts thorough incident investigations and root cause analyses using defensible protocols. • Works collaboratively with the project or program manager, craft workers, and other project or program personnel to identify effective corrective actions. • Creates and submits comprehensive investigation reports and lessons learned. • Performs trends analyses on audit findings, inspection findings, and incident reports; creates and submits regular analysis reports. • Represents Parsons during external regulatory or loss control inspections of project worksites. • Represents the SH&E manager or director on project or program worksites. • Seeks active and personal participation from the project or program manager, craft workers, and other project or program personnel to identify SH&E improvements and to implement the improvements. • Assists with risk assessments for upcoming work and provides SH&E subject matter expertise to work planning processes. • Assists the project or program manager with new hire orientation. • Performs regulatory and best practice SH&E training. • Creates and maintains SH&E training records. • Participates in routine safe work briefings.

In this role you will get to Insert one sentence summary of key job role. • Advanced knowledge of Federal and State health and safety regulations and reporting procedures. • Advanced knowledge of safety-related national consensus standards (e.g., ANSI, NFPA). • Exceptional interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills. • Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety and Health or related field (or equivalent experience). • 5+ years of related work experience in the field of Health and Safety. • Associate Safety Professional (ASP) or Graduate Safety Practitioner (GSP) or Occupational Hygiene and Safety Technician (OHST) or Construction Health and Safety Technician preferred.
