About the Role

The engineer will maintain manufacturing assets and ensure the reliability and safety of production equipment, working closely with OEM engineers and using diagnostic tools to support high‑performance operations. • Perform diagnostics, repairs and maintenance on manufacturing assets and production equipment. • Analyse equipment data to determine optimal maintenance strategies. • Interpret machinery drawings, circuit diagrams, schematics, manuals and parts catalogues. • Support OEM engineers and ensure equipment safety and reliability. • Use precision diagnostic instruments and conduct root‑cause analysis. • Carry out planned maintenance and implement improvement recommendations.

What You Bring

The successful candidate will have completed an engineering apprenticeship in a multi‑skilled discipline, possess strong electrical and mechanical knowledge, and have experience with fault diagnosis and planned maintenance. Collaboration, flexibility, a proactive attitude and good computer literacy are essential. Applicants must hold or be eligible for a Security Check clearance, which Rolls‑Royce will support. Due to the nature of the work, only UK nationals or MoD‑approved dual nationals may be considered. The closing date for applications is 30 December. Candidates may be required to complete an online cognitive and behavioural assessment as part of the selection process. The role is classified under Factory Staff, with posting dates 19 January 2026 to 20 January 2026. • Hold a time‑served engineering apprenticeship (NVQ Level 3) in electrical/electronic or mechanical engineering. • Demonstrate strong fault‑diagnosis skills on electro‑mechanical equipment, PLCs and CNC machine tools. • Show collaboration, flexibility, proactive thinking and effective communication at all levels. • Possess good computer literacy; training provided for specific systems. • Obtain a Security Check clearance (supported by Rolls‑Royce) and be a UK or MoD‑approved dual national.
