About the Role

The role sits within the Transportation Business Group and involves collaboration with a talented national team of engineers and planners to reshape how GFT delivers bridge projects. The leader will stay current on rapidly evolving bridge‑related technologies such as digital delivery, data management, digital twins, generative design, modeling and analysis, ISO‑19650, and model‑as‑the‑legal‑document. These insights will be applied to guide project execution and innovation. The successful candidate will work with the national leadership team and design staff to develop and implement a comprehensive Bridge Digital Delivery Strategy, including technology adoption and learning mechanisms for staff, quality control, and assurance. They will create a bridge data management strategy and collaborate with the Corporate Quality Control Office to develop QC/QA and risk‑management plans for 3D models. The leader will advance GFT’s brand by presenting at industry events and publishing articles. Keeping abreast of emerging technology landscapes that affect the AEC business will be essential. Additionally, they will translate client Digital Delivery requirements into actionable solutions for design teams and coordinate with other GFT business groups.

What You Bring

Candidates must have 10+ years of progressive experience leading or contributing to bridge technology initiatives in modeling, analysis, data management, digital delivery, and generative design. A BS in Civil Engineering or a related field and high‑level proficiency in CADD/BIM software are required. In‑depth knowledge of bridge 3D geometric and analytic modeling using tools such as OpenBridge, Inventor, InfraWorks, and Revit is essential, along with an understanding of data flows between modeling and analysis software. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, experience managing small work groups, and strong MS Office expertise are also needed. An innovative spirit and drive to challenge norms are valued. Preferred qualifications include a Professional Engineering License and proficiency with bridge stress/strain analysis software. These assets further demonstrate the candidate’s technical depth.

Benefits

The salary range for this full‑time position is $150,000‑$230,000, dependent on experience and geographic location. Core business hours are 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with a hybrid or remote work environment. GFT requires successful completion of a criminal background check and complies with applicable fair‑chance ordinances.
