About the Role

Based in Mankato, MN, the technician will ensure the highest production quality at the facility and third‑party enclosure vendor sites. Responsibilities include inspections at receiving, storage, pre‑production, and final audit stages to safeguard the Rolls‑Royce brand standards. • Witness receiving of gensets at enclosure vendors to inspect for transport damage. • Conduct periodic storage audits to check packaging, preservation milestones, and quality concerns. • Perform product audits on gensets before production at vendor sites. • Execute final product audits using visual inspection checklists. • Complete and submit customer inspection documentation. • Create Quality Notifications in SAP for non-conformances. • Verify implementation of 8D investigations and corrective actions by vendors. • Provide data for continuous improvement and supplier development projects. • Monitor receipt, storage, and use of ship‑short loose parts. • Keep management informed of quality issues, progress, and pending problems. • Promote compliance with Rolls‑Royce Code of Conduct.

What You Bring

• Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. • Associate degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or Quality Engineering, or two years of manufacturing/large‑equipment repair experience. • Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings and specifications. • Basic knowledge of measuring equipment and use of hand tools/torque wrenches. • Proficient with PC and Microsoft Office Suite. • Basic knowledge of Rolls‑Royce Power Systems (RRPS) components and products. • Strong knowledge of parts and equipment in a large‑equipment manufacturing environment. • Good communication and interpersonal skills for interfacing at all organization levels. • Effective written and verbal communication abilities. • Ability to follow instructions to identify non‑conformances.
