About the Role

Mortenson seeks an Electrical Helper to assist Electrical Laborers and Journeymen with material handling, equipment assembly and disassembly, work area preparation, and cleaning of machines and workspaces. The role includes measuring, cutting, and bending wire and conduit using hand tools; safely using hand and power tools after training; lifting, positioning, and fastening objects; preparing and supplying materials and tools for electrical trades; maintaining a clean and organized work area; working under close supervision following standard instructions; building relationships with diverse colleagues; and performing other assigned duties. • Measure, cut, and bend wire and conduit using hand tools. • Safely operate hand and power tools after training. • Lift, position, and fasten objects; handle materials up to 200 lb. • Prepare and supply materials and tools for electrical trades. • Maintain clean, organized work areas and equipment. • Work under close supervision following standard procedures. • Build collaborative relationships with diverse team members. • Follow safety regulations, read blueprints, and operate equipment such as forklifts and power buggies. • Perform repetitive hand, arm, and leg movements; lift up to 50 lb (heavier loads with assistance).

What You Bring

Candidates should have relevant experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to read safety regulations, blueprints, and manuals. They must be capable of using power and hand tools, operating equipment such as vibrators, pumps, drills, forklifts, and power buggies, and handling materials up to 200 lb. Strong teamwork, a positive attitude, customer service, detail orientation, active listening, and effective communication are required.
