About the Role

The Senior Project Manager will provide high‑level technical leadership for moderate to large‑scale high‑voltage electric power projects, including transmission, substation, and distribution work. Responsibilities span the full project lifecycle—from proposal and planning through execution, reporting, and close‑out—while ensuring safety, quality, profitability, and compliance with corporate standards. • Lead project planning including initiation, design, engineering, procurement, construction, outage planning, testing, commissioning, and close‑out. • Manage project metrics such as cost, schedule, documentation, risk, ROW services, public involvement, procurement, materials, environmental, safety, and construction. • Identify and secure new business through client development, proposal preparation, presentations, negotiations, and execution. • Oversee cross‑functional teams on multiple projects, tracking budgets, hours, expenses, deliverables, compliance, and contractual obligations. • Develop project proposals, cost estimates, scopes, schedules, and resource plans. • Establish and drive technical reviews, select qualified staff, and ensure QA/QC compliance. • Make ethical decisions regarding company funds and resources, adhering to WSP’s Code of Conduct.

What You Bring

WSP is seeking a Senior Project Manager for its Tampa, FL office. The position is remote but requires travel to client sites and project locations. The role will work with the Program Management Team to meet client objectives and solve challenges. • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or related field (or equivalent experience). • 10+ years experience managing large‑scale high‑voltage electric power projects, especially transmission and substation. • Proven ability to lead large teams of employees, customers, partners, and subcontractors. • Experience with marketing, client presentations, and negotiations within the electric power industry. • Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and compliance with WSP policies. • Essential project management certification (e.g., PMP, CAP‑M) required; Master’s degree in Engineering preferred.
