About the Role
In this role you will provide general labor for both aerial and underground construction projects, performing tasks such as trench digging, material handling, and site preparation. You will assist with fiber‑blowing operations, conduit placement, map reading, and equipment movement under the direction of a foreman or supervisor. All work is performed according to prescribed safety procedures and may include vehicle operation, pole climbing, and troubleshooting of RF and fiber systems. • Dig trenches and prepare job sites using hand tools such as shovels, rakes, and picks. • Unload building materials and assist with material movement as directed. • Perform fiber‑blowing operations to install fiber optic cable in conduits. • Place conduit according to foreman or supervisor instructions. • Read and follow maps and design schematics for project builds. • Support trench digging, closing, and general site cleanup. • Operate and maintain trucks, line trucks, bucket trucks, cable reels, saws, and drills. • Tow flatbed trailers and relocate equipment as needed. • Conduct aerial and underground work, including pole climbing with proper equipment. • Troubleshoot and repair RF and fiber line issues. • Construct and repair underground RF and fiber services. • Learn and become certified on specialized equipment (line truck, bucket truck, etc.). • Follow NESC safety guidelines and use appropriate personal protective equipment. • Maintain safety procedures, including vehicle and equipment operation safety.

What You Bring
The ideal candidate is safety‑focused, delivers high‑quality work, and enjoys hands‑on problem solving. You must hold a valid driver’s license with a clean record, be able to lift up to 70 lb, and have the ability to read maps, drawings, and design schematics. Experience or certification in climbing, overhead RF and fiber construction, and knowledge of NESC guidelines are required, along with strong communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment. • Demonstrate a safety‑first mindset in daily tasks. • Deliver high‑quality workmanship and problem‑solving abilities. • Hold a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. • Ability to lift and carry up to 70 lb. • Proficient in reading maps, drawings, and design schematics. • Possess climbing certification or related experience. • Experience in overhead construction for both RF and fiber networks. • Knowledge of bill of materials, code clearance requirements, and network architecture. • Certified flagger for field work when required. • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑volume work environment.
