About the Role

In this role you will represent the firm in interactions with clients, contractors, architects, and project team members while producing designs under senior guidance. You will develop specifications, system narratives, and layout documents for projects of varying sizes. Collaboration across disciplines is essential to deliver successful outcomes. Beyond core design duties, you will help establish project standards, oversee report preparation and construction administration, and ensure interdisciplinary coordination. Monitoring communication among staff, clients, and stakeholders is a key responsibility. You will also evaluate team performance, contribute to technical leadership, and support training and mentoring initiatives. • Establish design standards, specifications, and criteria for projects. • Supervise preparation of reports and analysis of system options and building conditions. • Maintain interdisciplinary coordination with other trades and project consultants. • Monitor correspondence among staff, clients, contractors, and owners. • Oversee construction administration tasks such as field reports, RFI responses, bulletins, and addenda. • Conduct periodic objective and comprehensive employee evaluations. • Participate in the business unit Technical Leadership Committee. • Assist the Technical Manager and Chief Engineer with technical training and staff mentoring. • Maintain active Professional Engineer (PE) licensure. • Support Dynamic Employee Resource Groups for employee engagement. • Provide a transit/parking stipend for commuting employees.

What You Bring

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution and at least eight years of consulting experience in the MEP sector. Project management abilities, including leading internal design teams, are advantageous. Hands‑on design expertise with CAD/Revit and a Professional Engineer (PE) license are mandatory. • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution. • Possess minimum 8 years of consulting experience in MEP engineering (senior level). • Demonstrate project management experience, including managing internal design teams. • Exhibit hands‑on design expertise with CAD/Revit software.
