About the Role

The Account Executive is responsible for prospecting, identifying leads, and selling the full suite of Republic Services products—including small and large containers for municipal solid waste, recycling, electronic and universal recycling—within an assigned geographic area. The role involves meeting with prospective clients, delivering sales presentations, and working with key decision makers to secure new business. • Identify viable leads, manage prospects, and acquire new commercial, industrial, and recycling business to exceed monthly revenue goals. • Follow up on leads within 2 hours and create follow‑up tasks in Salesforce. • Use Salesforce daily to schedule, document activities, and build prospect profiles. • Prepare and deliver sales presentations and close sales with key decision makers. • Conduct scheduled phone blocks and cold‑call prospecting to set appointments. • Monitor market behavior and competitive trends to anticipate customer needs. • Offer additional services and total waste‑stream management solutions to grow profitable revenue. • Complete customer service agreements, reports, and paperwork promptly per company policy. • Meet regularly with Sales Manager to review retention, progress, and key relationships. • Represent the company at trade shows, chamber of commerce events, and community activities.

What You Bring

Candidates should have at least two years of direct selling experience in a customer‑facing role, with waste or service industry experience considered a plus.
