• Perform field testing such as compaction, concrete testing, soil sampling, and materials verification. • Collect accurate geotechnical data for design, construction monitoring and compliance. • Assist senior technicians and engineers with site investigations, drill‑rig support and borehole logging. • Apply testing standards and quality procedures to ensure reliable data. • Prepare organized field notes, reports and documentation. • Support safe work practices by following WSP safety programs and participating in risk assessments. • Work on diverse infrastructure, transportation, building and land‑development projects.

What You Bring
We are seeking a Geotechnical Field Services Technician to join our team. This junior‑level position places you on the front lines of field testing and data collection for safe, resilient infrastructure across the region. You will work alongside experienced mentors, supporting a variety of transportation, building and land‑development projects while developing your technical skills. Offers for safety‑sensitive field positions are contingent upon the ability to perform key physical tasks and work in varied environmental conditions. Candidates must meet safety requirements, hold a valid driver’s licence and be prepared to travel to job sites. Only selected candidates will be contacted. • Experience through co‑op, internship or early‑career role in construction materials testing or geotechnical work. • Technical diploma or university degree in civil, construction, geotechnical or environmental discipline (asset). • Curiosity and willingness to learn geotechnical field techniques and industry standards. • Ability to work outdoors in variable conditions and travel to job sites. • Proactive approach to hazard awareness and meeting safety requirements. • Valid driver’s licence. • Problem‑solver who takes initiative in hands‑on environments. • Membership in a global community of 12,000+ Canadian professionals.
