About the Role

The Assistant Project Manager II supports the Project Manager across multiple projects, coordinating engineering, estimating, project controls, procurement, and construction activities during development and execution phases. The role may also involve rotations with operational support groups and assistance on other project and proposal efforts. Key responsibilities include assisting with initial schedule development, participating in value‑engineering and constructability reviews, collaborating on safety plans, conducting financial reviews and monthly close‑outs, managing RFIs, and facilitating project close‑out and warranty administration while ensuring quality and adherence to internal standards. • Coordinate engineering, estimating, project controls, procurement, and construction activities during development and execution phases. • Assist the PM in developing the initial project schedule with relevant stakeholders. • Participate in value engineering and constructability reviews. • Work with procurement to develop subcontractor and vendor scopes and review contract exhibits. • Collaborate with safety personnel to develop and implement project‑specific safety plans and incident reporting. • Support the PM in preparing monthly project review reports for senior management. • Conduct monthly financial reviews and project closeouts. • Manage RFI submittals using QISG’s document management system. • Provide feedback to improve quality of technical, commercial, and administrative deliverables. • Assist in procuring purchase orders and subcontract packages. • Monitor progress of design, procurement, and construction. • Facilitate project close‑out and warranty administration. • Perform post‑construction cost review, reporting, and lessons‑learned sessions. • Act as PM when the PM is unavailable, as qualified. • Adhere to internal standards, policies, and procedures.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in business, construction management, engineering, or a related field, or possess equivalent experience, along with at least two years of construction project experience. Preferred backgrounds include EPC/design‑build and power delivery sectors. Desired skills are self‑starting, strong problem‑solving, understanding of EPC processes, construction methods, effective communication, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software.
