About the Role

The job involves preparing timely and comprehensive offers and quotations for EHV circuit breakers, delivering technically appropriate and cost‑effective solutions, and collaborating with the Sales support team and product‑group territory managers. The incumbent will analyse customer needs, ensure proposals follow Hitachi Energy procedures, review technical documents, prepare commercial quotations, support account managers during offer clarification, and coordinate with design, project management and supply‑chain functions during tendering. Cost and lost‑proposal analysis are also required. • Administer, consult on and negotiate product/service contracts with external customers. • Develop pre‑sales contract strategies and structure proposals, bids and contract documents. • Prepare timely, comprehensive offers and quotations for EHV circuit breakers, ensuring technical and cost‑effective solutions. • Collaborate with sales support, product‑group territory managers and service teams to address customer needs. • Review technical specifications, prepare data sheets, identify deviations, and draft commercial quotations. • Coordinate with design, project management and supply‑chain functions during tender activities. • Conduct cost analysis and lost‑proposal analysis to improve future offers. • Ensure compliance with Hitachi Energy procedures, external regulations and internal guidelines.

What You Bring

The role is based in Chennai, full‑time, in Sales, Marketing & Product Management at Hitachi Energy Technology Services. The incumbent will administer, consult on and negotiate product and service contracts with external customers, develop pre‑sales contract strategies and work closely with marketing, sales and business management teams. Legal qualification is not required; the position is classified as Entry Professional (P1) with supervision. Candidates should have 6‑7 years of experience in high‑voltage or medium‑voltage electrical product sales and tendering (circuit breakers, EHV, GIS, EPC). An electrical engineering background and solid knowledge of the power‑grid market are required, together with strong English communication skills. The role demands compliance with external and internal regulations, adherence to Hitachi Energy’s safety and integrity values, and the ability to prepare and support the offer/quotation process. • Require 6‑7 years of experience in high‑voltage/mid‑voltage product sales or EPC, electrical engineering degree, and strong English communication skills.
