About the Role

The role is an on‑site project leader responsible for planning, implementing, and completing control‑systems projects, overseeing hardware design, system programming, installation coordination, commissioning, and project closeout while ensuring financial performance and customer communication. • Lead on‑site control systems projects from design through commissioning and closeout. • Manage project finances, including costs, billing, collections, and actively pursue change orders. • Coordinate communication with customers, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure compliance and safety. • Design hardware and program software using established standards. • Oversee material procurement, vendor pricing, and subcontractor payment processes. • Perform system commissioning, verification, and resolve functionality issues with subcontractors. • Provide training to owners/operators and deliver accurate system documentation and manuals. • Mentor and coach system technicians, electrical installers, and system designers. • Track project status, forecast revenue, costs, and gross margin, and report to management. • Develop and maintain long‑term relationships with contractors, clients, consultants, and subcontractors.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold at least a technical associate degree with two years of field experience (or four years equivalent), possess hands‑on experience with access‑control, fire, video, or similar systems, have necessary licensing and certifications, and be able to work independently; strong computer skills and knowledge of control theory, HVAC, and project accounting are preferred. • Minimum technical associate degree with two years field experience (or four years equivalent). • Hands‑on experience with access control, fire, video, or related systems design and commissioning. • Required licensing, certifications, and relevant hands‑on experience. • Ability to work independently and demonstrate strong personal computer skills. • Preferred knowledge of control theory, HVAC systems, and project accounting.
