About the Role

The Instrument Multi‑Craft Technician supports the operation of mechanical systems by handling electronic equipment and gauges, ensuring they function correctly. • Install, repair, maintain, and calibrate electronic equipment and gauges. • Inspect, test, adjust, and repair electric, electronic, mechanical, and pneumatic instruments. • Verify accuracy of flowmeters, pressure gauges, temperature indicators, and controllers. • Trace and test solid‑state components using schematics and test equipment. • Remove, decontaminate, disassemble, clean, and replace defective instrument parts. • Perform instrument installation, loop checking, and reassembly. • Conduct SIS instrument calibrations and analyze calibrations for devices such as pH probes, LEL detectors, and CO monitors. • Fit and bend instrument tubing for process and air systems. • Lubricate instruments and replace faulty wiring and tubing. • Record calibration data, parts used, and maintain inventory. • Prepare schematic drawings, sketches, and reports documenting changes.

What You Bring

Candidates must have at least five years of instrumentation experience, be able to read blueprints, work on low‑ and high‑pressure tubing and piping, and possess the required hand tools. A current TWIC card, valid driver’s license, and NCCER Industrial Instrument Technician certification (including NCCER Plus) are required. The role demands extensive physical activity, including standing, walking, bending, squatting, and lifting up to 50 lb, as well as work at heights up to 300 ft using proper fall‑protection equipment. Workers must operate in outdoor conditions and wear prescribed personal protective equipment such as hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, harness, face shield, and ear protection.
