About the Role
The position reports to senior leadership, interfaces with NV Energy, contractors, consultants, and regulators, and supports executive‑level briefings and reporting. The manager also drives innovation by promoting new safety tools and processes. • Lead field execution of WSP’s safety management scope for the Greenlink Nevada Program. • Coordinate technical and operational safety aspects to align with contract and regulatory requirements. • Serve as field safety liaison among NV Energy, contractors, consultants, and agency representatives. • Oversee implementation of construction safety strategies and foster a culture of safety excellence. • Participate in executive client briefings, board meetings, and progress reporting forums. • Evaluate contractor safety performance and conduct performance reviews and closeout assessments. • Develop, maintain, and execute project safety management plans and site‑specific safety plans. • Review contractor SSSPs and work plans for compliance with NV Energy safety requirements and applicable laws. • Conduct daily tailboard meetings, safety audits, and report discrepancies to management. • Manage incident reporting, root‑cause analysis, and maintain compliance records in POWER360 and 1st Application. • Verify completion of EHS orientation training for all project personnel and maintain training rosters. • Provide technical input for accident, injury, and property‑damage investigations and support corporate safety.

What You Bring

WSP is an equal‑opportunity employer and requires candidates to be authorized to work in the United States. • Bachelor’s degree in safety management or related field (or equivalent experience). • OSHA 30‑hour certification; First Aid/CPR certification. • 10+ years managing safety on large, complex electrical infrastructure projects. • Strong leadership skills to supervise safety managers and coordinate stakeholders. • Expertise in OSHA construction standards (29 CFR 1926), state/local codes, JHAs, SDSs, incident investigation. • Proven ability to develop and deliver safety training programs and foster a safety culture. • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities; experience presenting to senior leadership. • Preferred: Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and Certified Utility Safety Professional (CUSP).
