You will help provide the highest level of quality service to our customers while maintaining our commitment to safety. The Fiber Splicer is responsible for producing end‑to‑end fiber optic networks, ensuring work is done right and meeting challenges. The role includes testing and troubleshooting continuity, operating testing equipment, preparing splice enclosures, using fusion splicers and OTDRs, applying fiber design knowledge, and working on outdoor utility construction sites. • Test and troubleshoot fiber optic network continuity. • Operate testing equipment and resolve common fiber optic challenges. • Prepare fiber splice enclosures (e.g., Tyco, CommScope, Corning). • Utilize fusion splicer, OTDR (1310, 1550), DWDM, CWDM, 945 OLTS, Max Tester, and power meter. • Apply fiber design knowledge, read documentation, and assess light levels and dB loss. • Work on outdoor utility construction sites. • Prioritize safety in daily work. • Solve complex problems with a hands‑on approach.

What You Bring
The ideal candidate prioritizes safety, consistently delivers high‑quality work, and enjoys hands‑on problem solving. At least 3‑5 years of fiber splicing and troubleshooting experience is required, along with ability to work on ladders or bucket trucks and flexibility for varied shifts and overtime. • Demonstrate a track record of high‑quality work completion. • Have 3–5 years of fiber splicing and troubleshooting experience. • Comfortable working from ladders or bucket trucks. • MOS codes V80B, B05A, 3D157, 6423, 5699 are relevant.
