About the Role
Based in Hesston, KS, the technician will work within the manufacturing engineering team, supporting computer‑controlled systems and robotic devices used in production. The position involves a blend of routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and project work that directly impacts equipment uptime and product quality. Key duties include maintaining and servicing robotic weld cells, press brakes, lasers, and other automated equipment, as well as programming new weld jobs and making adjustments to existing automation routines. The role also requires developing preventive maintenance schedules, monitoring machine efficiency, and leading data‑driven initiatives to reduce downtime, while collaborating with maintenance staff and equipment vendors. • Maintain and troubleshoot computer‑controlled systems and robotic equipment such as weld robots, press brakes, and lasers. • Program new weld jobs on robotic cells and adjust existing automation routines. • Develop and execute preventive maintenance programs for automated fabrication equipment. • Lead data‑driven projects to monitor and improve machine efficiency and reduce downtime. • Interpret manufacturing drawings and weld callouts to ensure product quality. • Ensure compliance with safety standards while managing multiple priorities.
