About the Role
The Senior Network Engineer will primarily be responsible for maintaining and managing a large‑scale Cisco and Meraki network and data center, collaborating with functional groups and internal clients to provide efficient, high‑quality service. The role requires strong network and VoIP knowledge, as well as experience with routers, switches, access points, firewalls, and related technologies. • Centrally manage network configuration and optimization processes. • Architect and maintain VOIP/MPLS data and voice networks for data center, corporate sites, and over 120 branch locations. • Support internal clients and report status, progress, and results to senior management. • Manage installations, upgrades, relocations, and maintenance of routers, switches, access points, and Webex Communications products. • Evaluate network performance, identify operational problems, and suggest improvements to optimize VoIP infrastructure. • Provide Quality of Service (QoS) traffic engineering/shaping in a fully converged network using best‑practice models. • Assist with implementation of progressive technology projects. • Manage wireless and VPN infrastructure. • Perform basic troubleshooting of network voice/data (Cisco/Meraki routers, PIX, ASA) and work with firewalls and communications infrastructure. • Use Wireshark for end‑to‑end network troubleshooting.

What You Bring
• Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field. • Minimum 10 years of experience with large‑scale data networks, Cisco, Meraki, Palo Alto firewalls, and related infrastructure. • Ability to obtain a corporate card for job‑related expenses and travel. • Proficiency with Microsoft Visio for topology creation and editing. • Strong problem‑solving and project‑management skills with acute attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines. • Exceptional written, verbal, and listening communication skills. • Experience with Cisco routers and switches (e.g., 6807, 9k, 5K, 4331, 3750, 2900, 1111). • Working knowledge of IP routing, VLANs, QoS, and protocols such as IGRP, OSPF, EGP, EIGRP, BGP, IPsec. • Experience installing, upgrading, and maintaining Cisco and Meraki wireless access points. • Knowledge of network protocols TCP/IP, SIP, MGCP, SCCP, MPLS. • Experience with Cisco/Meraki ASA firewalls, VPN IPsec configuration, and Palo Alto firewalls. • Ability to communicate professionally at all organizational levels. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Access, Visio, Project). • Self‑motivated, analytical, proactive team player. • Familiarity with Cisco Nexus, ISE, and SolarWinds. • Cisco certifications (CCNP, CCNA, CCVP) or equivalent. • Working knowledge of WAN technologies (Gigabit Ethernet, MPLS). • Understanding of secure voice concepts and processes. • Experience with SD‑WAN, Meraki MX devices, and switches. • Experience with Webex Communications Suite (a plus).
