Job Highlights
About the Role
• Support sampling events (soil, soil gas, groundwater, and indoor air), stormwater compliance inspections, stormwater sampling, calibrate instruments (e.g., PID/flow meters), measure water levels, support low-flow sampling, label samples and pack coolers, maintain chain-of-custody, and decon equipment • Observe drilling and well installations, do basic site inspections, and help oversee site safety • Perform data entry, data management, data evaluation, and data presentation • Field work oversight such as soil excavation, remediation, due diligence inspections, etc. • Field assistance with groundwater sampling, soil sampling, soil vapor sampling, ecological risk assessments etc. • May include occasional driving as part of project responsibilities • Perform engineering calculations and design assistance for government, commercial, and industrial properties as needed • Field and office work alongside staff geologists and engineers • Prepare figures/tables, draft short memo/report sections, and handle document control and uploads to client/regulator portals • Support various project tasks including regulatory requirements/review estimates, research, procurement support, etc. • Support client reports by researching site history and records, request utility clearances/permits, organize lab data and QA/QC tabulated results

What You Bring
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 • Possesses solid technical and problem-solving skills • Has excellent verbal and written communication skills • Communication, field work (long days/overtime, inclement weather, etc), critical thinking • Experience with engineering software applications (AutoCad, MathCad, ESRI, HydroCad, WaterCad, ARCView GIS, etc.) is preferred but not required • Applicants for this intern role must possess a clean driving record. • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) • OSHA 40 hour safety or 30 hour OSHA safety training preferred, but not required. • Must be at least 21 years old • Self-motivated, detail orientated person • Seniors or master's students pursuing Bachelor or Associate Degree in Geology, Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field
